Niskayuna, NY, April 17, 2018 – Niskayuna resident and civic leader Michelle Ostrelich has announced plans to challenge James Tedisco for a seat in the New York State Senate in the 49th district.
Ostrelich, an attorney who practiced employment law in Philadelphia before moving to the region, is eager to bring meaningful change to residents in the district, which includes all of Fulton and Hamilton Counties, as well as parts of Herkimer, Saratoga and Schenectady Counties.
“My focus during this race – and after the election – is to offer Upstaters bigger and better opportunities. I will fight to make our region a place where you can start your own business, own a home, settle down, and hire your neighbors.” says Ostrelich. “Growing the middle class is more than a talking point for me. My opponent doesn’t speak talk about how the recent tax changes punish New York communities and run up impossible debts for our children to pay. It’s time for some honest communication and good old-fashioned problem-solving. We want people to come to our area — to come here, thrive here, and stay here.”[etc]
